Tatiana Diacova, MS RDN: I am a second-year PhD student in the Graduate Group in Nutritional Biology (GGNB), Dr. Francene Stenberg lab. My main area of interest is to understand the complex interplay between consumption of (poly)phenol-rich foods, gut microbiome and host health. I am specifically interested in studying the mechanisms through which dietary (poly)phenols modulate gut microbial composition/functionality and what effect this modulation might have on cardiometabolic disease risk of the host.
