This quarter, we have put together a microbiome journal club called "Microbiome Methods Journal Club" which will focus on, you guessed it, microbiome methods. It is listed as EVE-298 CRN: 43858.
We wanted to offer a course that would benefit students in all areas of microbiome research at UC Davis.
The course will cover topics such as amplicon sequencing, microbiome vs. metadata, repeatability/reproducibility, binning/MAGs, culturing and more.
Professors Jonathan Eisen and Raquel Peixoto along with students Camille Burke and Natascha-Sophie Varona wrapped up a video shoot for their new protocol for JoVE, a peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed scientific video journal.
